The festival will screen 4 Korean films to allow viewers to immerse themselves in this particularly inventive cinema.
For many years now, Korean cinema has proved very inventive, whether one refers to the subjects it deals with or the cinematic choices it makes. In order to explore the richness of this cinema, the Fife has organised the screening of various Korean films, in collaboration with the Green Film Festival in Seoul (GFFIS).
In addition to the screening of two award-winning films shown at the festival in 2009, Old Partner (Jury Prize) and Good Man (Best Short Film), this event will feature a rich and varied selection. Indeed, The Color of Pain analyses the twists and turns of our modern professional lives using a medical point of view, while the documentary One Day on the Road shows the harm caused by the building of roads, on nature and biodiversity.
Festival-goers will also be able to discover the documentary Sweet Nuke directed by Lee Kang-Gil. The film, which will run for best documentary in the Official competition, narrates the challenge raised by the South Korean government to destroy radioactive waste.
To discover these films, come to the Cinéma des cinéastes between the 8th and the 9th of February.
