A few words about the 2012 edition

Until now, the Fife used to take place in November. But in order to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Rio summit (June 1992), the 29th and next edition of the festival will happen in the beginning of 2012, from the 7th until the 14th of February at the “Cinema des cineastes” in Paris and in various theatres in the Île-de-France area.

But it is also to initiate debates and tackle the main environmental matters of the year that the Fife will now take place in the beginning of the calendar year.

This year, the Fife will open a Web platform aimed at broadcasting digital films within the frame of its official selection outside the competition. This platform (free and accessible by all) will open from the 7th until the 29th of February.

The Fife offers a wide international selection: Darwin’s Nightmare, Lucy Walker’s Waste Land or Mia and the Migoo just to name a few. The festival also receives support from numerous personalities from “arts of environment” such as Julie Bertucelli, Yann Arthus-Bertrand, Julie Gayet, Luc Jacquet, Aïssa Maïga…
