Live performance, cinema and books: the regional council supports contemporary creation and encourages people to go out and see it. It works to build, renovate and equip auditoriums, theatres, music schools, media libraries, museums, etc.
Supporting the cinema
The regional council is keen for ÃŽle-de-France to remain a major centre for film-making and film production and works to ensure that it does not miss any opportunities. It supports creation and production.

The regional council is extending its support for the publishing world and developing a real books policy.

History and places of remembrance
The regional council is keen to promote, preserve and renovate an outstanding heritage. One of its new tasks is to draw up a heritage inventory.
